The Woman's Club of Concord is convinced of the power of women's friendships to change individual lives and solve community problems. Our membership is growing and we are creating new programs to meet the needs of women and their communities. Won't you join us?

Members of the Woman's Club contribute to our community through volunteer work, through leadership on issues, and through the club's many programs. Our programs are organized around several key "departments" - the Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Affairs and Public Affairs. Our intention is to bring topics of community interest and concern to a public forum.

The club's annual dues are $35.

The Woman's Club of Concord has been a fixture in the community since 1893. Founded by Mrs. Frank Streeter in 1893, it was a part of a movement nationwide to rally the unused potential of women for the improvement of community life. The united actions of women, Mrs. Streeter believed, could improve life for everyone.

The Woman's Club of Concord was one of the first local clubs to join the General Federation of Women's Clubs in 1894. The national group continues to be a force for change in education, conservation and public affairs.

In 1919 Nellie Chamberlin donated the Chamberlin House at 44 Pleasant Street to the club and it has been a home for women - literally and figuratively - ever since.
